Okay, okay...With Facebook and emails, I kinda forgot about my blog. Sorry guys. I hope some of you will actually see this and haven't completely given up on me.

Here's what we have coming up for crops:
March 26th and 27th-Yes, we still have space, but it is filling up pretty quickly. If you come, you will get a special little Easter basket with scrapbook surprises inside. Apparently I also sent out a message saying something about scrapping until midnight on Saturday as well...any takers? I could probably have my arm twisted to stay.

More crop nights available in April:
April 9th and 10th
April 23rd and 24th

Autism Crop: April 17th at St. Marys from 9-5

Page of the Week is still going strong. It is every Monday starting at 10am. We will have supplies and tools available to create a page. To the right is a slideshow of this week and the next four weeks of pages. If you plan ahead, you can bring photos and have your page completed when you leave!

Sorry I stay away so long. I will try to do better!

Coat drive off to a roaring start!

Thanks to all of you who have already started bringing in coats. We are filling up tables rapidly and hoping to fill them all multiple times this winter. If you have extra maching washable coats, please bring them by the store and we will get them to the Evansville Christian Life Center in a timely manner. Don't have any extras at home? Many department stores are running 60-75% off sales right now! I got multiple kids coats today at Kohl's for just $15! Spread the word to help those in need this winter.

A Message from Steve: Don't forget those in need this winter

Yesterday I spoke with my friend Gina Gibson, Executive Director of the Evansville Christian Life Center, about how this cold weather is affecting the supply of warm clothes for those in need. She said the ECLC is out of or has extreme shortages of warm coats, jackets, sweatshirts, hooded sweatshirts, caps, hats, and gloves. In fact, on Tuesday night they were scrambling to meet the need. The outlook for today is probably worse.

Since I know that Barb and I have at least 15 unused coats between us that we don't wear, I assume all of us can spare some. If you have growing children, you probably have some unused coats for kids as well.

Schmitt Photo would like to be a deposit site for you to drop off clean, machine washable jackets, coats, hats, warm gloves, hooded and regular sweatshirts, long sleeve tees, or anything that someone else can use to stay warm this winter. All sizes are needed from adult to kids. If you don't have any you may want to consider buying something to help out.

Drop off what you can at the store either by coming inside or using the drive through, and we'll see that your donations get to the Life Center promptly for distribution. Please keep this appeal going by forwarding the message to friends and family members. Each of us can help but together we can make a big difference to those in need.

Well, it's not the kind of weather I was hoping for today, but now I have time to get stuff done on the computer instead of laying around in the sun. I know....poor Heather. I have a couple of exciting events to post information about. The first is that the Camp Carson Retreat is coming up soon. This year the fall retreat is going to be September 25th-27th. We have loads of fun stuff in store again this Fall. I put up our fun slideshow from last fall to help entice you into coming to join us this year. I promise you a fabulous time! If you are interested, you can stop in the store and pick up a registration form, you can call Camp Carson directly, or leave me a message here and I will send you one!

Here is the other super cool event...American Crafts has sent me a box full of over $500 worth of scrapbook supplies to give away. All you have to do is come by the store to get started with your punch card. We will punch it once for coming in and then give you additional punches for every $10 you spend. (American Crafts product counts triple!) We will have a party on October 17th and have our drawing. You won't have to be present to win the American Crafts box. You will, however have to be present to win the other prizes from other companies that I have collected...and to take part in the fabulous sales that will happen that day.

NEW STUFF IS OVERFLOWING AT THE STORE!

It's been a heck of a week, but the store looks great! All those empty walls that you helped us with during the bare to the walls sale are filling up quick. We have so much new that I'm sure I will forget something. But...I'm going to try to list it all:

Cosmo Cricket: the Boyfriend, Earth Love, and Jolly by Golly...all super cute in true Cosmo Cricket style

American Crafts: Loads of Thickers, Dollar Ribbon, 3-Ring Albums, paper for boys, girls, and Christmas. The papers are amazing...they now have glitter, foil, and embossed to go with their already wonderful double sided cardstocks.

The Paper House: This is a new vendor for us and we have a ton of great stuff for you theme scrappers...I hope I don't leave anything out: We have bowling, tennis, swimming, golf, hunting, fishing, softball, Wizard of Oz, County Fair, theme park, movie theater, Florida, San Francisco, Safari, Cruise, dogs, cats, police, emt, fire-fighters, new military, civil war, ....I'm out of breath just thinking about it! I guess I get an F in blogging for this month. I had no idea it had been so long! I guess I've been so wrapped up in our Facebook friends, tradeshows, emails, and new stuff that I let this go. I hereby promise to try to start being a better blogger...scout's honor, or something like that!

Here is what's going on in the store. We have loads of new stuff from Making Memories, My Minds Eye, Little Yellow Bicycle, sei, Hampton Arts Stamps, inks and glitter glue, and more. We have boxes in the back waiting to be opened from American Crafts and Cosmo Cricket.

This month we have loads of cropping oppportunities. We have crop til you drops in the store September 4th, 18th, and October 2nd. CJ's bus is on September 12th and still has openings. She is accepting applications at the original rate...no late registration charges. We also have the Camp Carson Croppers Retreat the weekend of the 25th-27th. Registration forms are available in the store.

We have more in store...I promise I'll write more very soon. It's time for bed right now!

Day One of Week Three

Hey everybody, I'm posting to you from San Francisco this morning. While I wait for all the sleepy heads to get going, I'm going to remind of everything going on at Schmitt this week!

This is week three of the Bare to the Walls Sale. I left Joy and Kristi with over 2000 green dots so that they could mark that many items down to 20% off for this week. That means that the blue stickers that went out two weeks ago are now a 40% discount! Paper is now 40% off as well! I'm counting on you girls to help me out. I don't want to go to the show and not be able to shop!

Also today, the Page of the Week is out. Joy and Kristi created some very cool pages for the Page of the Week and for the Shop Hop. Shop Hop pages are exclusive to those who have a Passport, so come pick yours up today. The Shop Hop doesn't end until July 26th, so you still have plenty of time to complete your tour.

All Blue stickers will be 40% off next week: You'll find those on cutting tools and organizers-All paper (excluding cardstock) will also be 40% off beginning Monday, July13th. We have decided on a theme and it's going to be a pool party...bathing suits optional...clothes required!

NEW STUFF, NEW STUFF, We all love new stuff

Hey girls, just a quick post to let you know what has arrived recently. All three new lines from My Mind's Eye...still in the boxes but will definitely be out of the boxes by the time we crop on Friday night. Also En Route..super cool travel line from sei (Good for travel whether it's by land, air or sea!) Smooch is back in..so if you missed out in Gasthoff, we have more in stock. New colors of Glimmer Mist...haven't had those in for awhile and the new colors are spectacular! American Crafts cardstock is completely re-stocked and we have some of their boxed cardstock collections now...great way to buy and store cardstock! The new line from Cosmo Cricket called Early Bird will arrive next week.

I sent an email tonight with the registration forms for NSD. It's starting to fill up, so if you and your buddies are trying to decide, now is the time!

Gotta run...promised Devon we would do a little bonding before the boys get home! Only have about 20 minutes left before we get re-invaded!

May Schedule

Okay girls, I promise I was not "smoking" anything when I did the last schedule. We will not be having a crop this weekend. I think I forgot to delete that from the calendar I copied! I will have 6 10&11 year old girls at my house this weekend to celebrate Devon's Birthday! Woo Hoo for slumber parties.

I also need to make a correction on Elizabeth's classes. The second quick and cute is not kids pages again...it will be end of the year school pages. The description is on the bottom, I just forgot to put it in the calendar correctly. Again...brain fart or something.

We will be having 2 crop nights and our first NSD celebration this month. We have started taking registrations for both. I will have a form soon...waiting on a couple of vendors to finalize the class list. I promise to have just as much fun this year with just as many goodies as last year!

Gotta go for now and get Jordan ready for band.

Surprise Crop this Weekend!

Sadly, Camp Carson had to be cancelled for the Spring...so start getting pumped for the Fall retreat! Since I won't be cropping at camp this weekend, I decided we should crop at the store instead! We will do the usual...6-midnight on Friday and all day Saturday. Don't forget that the Crop for Life is also this Saturday. I'm not sure if it's full, but you might want to check it out!

This is the first notice to go out about cropping this weekend. An email will probably go out on Wednesday, so if you want to beat the rush, you better call soon! And if you know that your friends don't read this blog (shame on them!) then you better give them a call, too.

As you can see, it's 11:30pm...I cropped LATE this weekend...it's time for bed...YAWN!

NEW PRODUCT ARRIVES AT SCHMITT...

Everybody's favorite words...NEW STUFF! We've had several boxes arrive from our fave delivery guys this week from sei, LYB, and Making Memories. Even more is due to arrive on Friday. Here's what we have so far..

Zinnia line from Little Yellow Bicycle...it is fabulous for Spring and Summer pages. Big flowers in fantastic purples, greens and yellows. If you love LYB, get while it's new. They only produce one run of each line and it's done. I can't do much with re-orders after my first order...so get it now!

Mimosa and Bridgeport from sei...The Mimosa line is my fave combination of colors...pink and orange! I love it soo much that I tried to make Devon pick out a matching outfit at Justice tonight! (I've become one of THOSE scrappers!) Bridgeport is the same feel but in the cool colors, blues and greens. I really love them both.

Just Chillin' from Making Memories...you guessed it, it's a great new teen line. It has cool double sided papers, canvas tags, letters and brads. Super funky alphas and "flair" brads also go with this line.

I'll try to report on what's arriving on Friday after it arrives...here's a hint...some bo-bunny, some Smooch, and more. That info will arrive on Monday!

Kimmay's Faves...and more!

Okay girls, Kimmay has designed another super fun double page layout using chipboard from Scrapworks. Her class is this evening at 5:15 and you SHOULD be done by 6:00ish. Unfortunately, the pages are at work and I am sitting in front of the computer at home in my jammies. However, when I get to work, I will scan the pages and post them. Just make sure you call and let us know you are coming or even if you would like us to keep a kit for you. You only have a few more weeks of Kimmay's faves. She will be taking a break this summer...hoping she will come back in the fall! :)

I am also beginning to plan summer events for the store. Here are the mostly firm dates for our super cool NSD celebration. Yes it says dates...we will have two this year! They will be May 29th and 30th and then on June 12th & 13th. The event runs from Friday at 2:00 until Midnight the following Saturday. (You do have to go home from midnight on Friday until 6:00 Saturday morning...a girl's gotta sleep a little bit!) The cost this year will be $105.00 and will include 4 meals, a FABULOUS goody bag, one class and tons of games and door prizes. More info will be released soon, so mark your calendars now! We will begin taking registrations toward the middle of April.

SPRING IS HERE!

It's official, spring is here. I guess I got a bit of the Spring Fever, and forgot all about the blog! (Thanks, Melissa for the prompt on Facebook) It has been a busy March with Crop for the Cure, Spring Break, and the kids swim banquet...has nothing to do with you guys, but it kept me very busy for several days! April is shaping up to be just as busy as March. Here's the breakdown:

April 4th: Autism Crop, already full but we will be there
April 4th: Women's Weekend Away...Heather teaching a class
April 10th & 11th: Spring Rummage Sale (Pre-Sale on the 9th)
April 17th-19th: SISF Spring Retreat (Devon and I will be representing Schmitt Photo)
April 24: Crop for Life at the Armory...we will be there
April 23-25th: Camp Carson Spring Retreat

Because of all of the off-site cropping, we will not have any in store crops during the month of April. We will, however, continue to have classes. I will also be back in gear for Page of the Week every Monday and maybe even some new double page releases! Gotta run for now. We went to Biaggis for my mom's 60th tonight and I need to put on some stretchy pants and get ready for bed!

Teddy Bear Crops Rock!

We had lots of fun at the Teddy Bear Crop last night! We had scrapbook charades, sculpting, pictionary and more! Everybody got a good workout both body and brain. Check out the pictures...you can tell when someone got a hard word by the "You want me to do what?" looks on their faces. Thanks for the idea Devon...it was lots of fun!

Okay, hopefully you all got your email letting you know that we have TONS of new stuff. (I know Melissa did, she's already been here today!) If you got your email, make sure you open it! My dad loves to see lots of opened emails on the status report.

Anyway, I am working on the slideshow of the new stuff...Hopefully if you are reading this you are also seeing the slideshow to the right. If not, it means that I am still working on it and I'll get it up there as soon as possible.

Tomorrow's Crop update:
Devon has decided on a Teddy Bear theme. She would like you to bring your favorite teddy bear or a picture of yourself with your fave bear. She has also given everyone permission to wear their jammies. (Commando or not is up to you!) We are going to talk tonight about what games we are playing and what prizes she would like to give. If you haven't signed up, give us a call. There is still some room left...you'll want to come check out the new look. Heck, if you're not cropping, you still need to come check out the new look!

Sadly, Devon did not advance to the next meet. However, that means we get to crop this Friday and Saturday! I decided that this weekend would be a Devon decides crop. She'll pick the games and prizes, make the name-tags and decide on a theme. The crop will be the usual...6pm-midnight and all day Saturday. The games and goodies will happen on Friday, as usual. Keep checking the blog and I'll let you know what theme she decides on!

A few new arrivals!

We just received 4 new cartridges for the Slice...Noteworthy, Baby, and 2 of the Basics. Tons more cool fonts and shapes to use on your Slice. Don't have the Slice? Well, buy it from us and save 20% on your Slice accessories!

Also in (but still in the box) is 3 new fabulous lines from Cosmo Cricket. They will make their debut at Crop 4 the Cure this weekend. However, if you stop in and ask nicely, I could probably let you peek in the box! I'm expecting many boxes from Creative Imagination covering all kinds of topics...sports, Star Wars, more Lego, new baby, and the list goes on. The CI product will arrive in shifts over the next couple of months. Keep checking the blog...I'll let you know when it arrives!

We also have about 12 new exclusive page kits thanks to the fabulous group of croppers who helped crank them out last weekend while I was sick. (Some even snuck more in this week without me even asking! Thanks Kristi.) I am still bagging them up and hope to have even more ready to take to Crop 4 the Cure.

Well, we had a busy night of appointments, swim practice, and band concerts. It's time for this over-worked mamma to head to bed. Hope to see you all in the store soon!

Friday the 13th was lucky for somebody!

Tonight is crop night and we played a new game adapted from our favorite Cranium game. Tonight everybody got Play-Doh to mold scrapping tools. The lucky ladies pictured each won $5.00 to be used this evening at the Crop!

Next on the agenda, Heather is going to try and sit down to make some more page kits for next weeks release. So keep on checking...I will have lots to show you soon! (Before Monday's Page of the Week for sure!)

February 9th Page Kit Release

We have 4 new kits that will be released on Monday. They are featured in the slide show to the right. The 2007 page will be set up for Page of the Week this week and the Laugh, Giggle, Smile page is the featured double page layout this week. When you pick up extra kits on Monday each week, we will punch your Page of the Week punch card to get you closer to earning free classes and crops! (Extra punches for extra pages only available on Monday. However, POW kits get your card punched any time!)

Don't forget about the fun classes we have coming up...Kimmay's faves makes its debut with Bling...rhinestones and pearls. And just in time for Kimmay's class is a huge new assortment of both from Kaiser crafts...Kimmay hasn't even seen them yet!

The UPS man didn't just bring Bling this week...he also delivered the Slice cutting system and accessories from Making Memories! I played with is a bunch this weekend when I was preparing the new kits. The stars and "2007" on the 2007 page and the words on the double page layout were all cut with the Slice. If you come tomorrow for the Page of the Week, you'll get to try it out!

Hey girls...it's that time again...CROP NIGHT! What does everyone want to do this evening? I know that I would love to be able to sit and crop with everyone...I'll get more kits done that way! I hear Nancy made some yummy chocolate M&M cookies. (You can thank Devon for that request!)

I have several boxes that arrived from UPS over the last couple of days. Most of what arrived is from Making Memories. We now have the Slice cutting tool and many of the accessories! Don't come rushing in though. The boxes have been opened for peeking in, but I have not had time to get it all in the computer. It will, however, be in before the evening is over!

I'll see some of you for the crop tonight. I hope to see the rest of you this weekend! Hopefully the ice on the lot will finally melt!

Page kit update

Some of you may have noticed that Technique Thursday is no longer on the calendar. That is because every Monday, along with the page of the Week, I will also release a double page kit. That way you can pick them both up on Monday! Feel free to sit down and do both while your are at the store for the Page of the Week. If you buy your double kit on Monday, we will even punch your class card.

Joy and I were pretty bored when the wind and cold kept everybody inside yesterday. That means Joy picked out stuff she thought I should use and I sat at the computer looking for pictures to go with the kits. Good news, I printed pictures of Devon and THE BOYS, so there will plenty of boy and girl type kits to use! (I'm even scrappin' one of the dogs!) I should have lots of new kits up on the blog for you to view by next Monday. (That means you can come in and BUY them on Monday as well!)

Hey girls..the email was sent yesterday and here's what you missed if you forgot to check it. The class schedule is attached and we have another big month ahead. Lots of classes and crops. You may notice the disappearance of Technique Thursday. That is because it will no longer be a class. However, when you come for Page of the Week on Mondays, a double page layout will also be available for you to work on or take home with you. WOO-HOO.

Also in the email..we have extended the print special for another week due to power outages and loss of internet (my excuse for not posting for awhile). Of course, if you still don't have power, you can't read this anyway!

We are also having a memory card sale and scrapbook supplies sale...both sales good through the end of the week. (February 7th)

It's late and I have church early tomorrow. I will keep you updated with more info as I get it!

Hey-just wanted to post a quick note about some changes coming up. We are going to discontinue the Technique Thursday as a class. However, we will begin releasing new page kits weekly. There will be the Page of the Week every Monday. We will also begin releasing a double layout on Monday each week. Also coming up is Kimmay's faves. She will be doing that every Wednesday evening using some of her favorite products or embellishments to make a new and exciting layout each week. Our February calendar should be coming soon with more details.

The slideshow to the right displays the pages that will be released today. Come stock up before the weather gets bad!

My dad and I just finished a fabulous email for a huge sale on prints. We brought back the 15 cent 4x6 prints and added HUGE discounts on 5x7 and 8x10 enlargements. The 5x7s will only be 75 cents and 8x10 will be just $2.50! What a great time to try out some big prints on your scrapbook pages.

Gotta run for now because it's almost time for the crop. It's gonna be a small one, but we are still gonna have a great time! I will be introducing the "Discount Dice" this evening. Don't worry though, if you wimped out on me tonight, they'll be back during the next crop!

Hey ladies! It's Friday already and time for another crop. (I had 2 days off this week, so my week just flew by.) Anyway, I was looking at my list and noticed that there are some names missing. So, if you have a "Scrapbook Secretary", you might want to make sure all of your reservations are made! Also, if anyone would like to offer up some new ideas for games or just tell me your faves, that's what we'll do tonight! It worked last week, right Helen and Kristi?

THIS JUST IN...We just got in a LOT of baseball and swimming stuff. Here's what I am trying to do in the sports area...if the sport is in season, I order a bunch and then let it ride for awhile. If you have a favorite sport that is not represented, please post with your fave sports and activities. That is how I decide what I need next!

So, I was sitting here at the computer working on Rebecca's pics for a 2008 review class that she is taking ON HER CRUISE (not bitter at all) and I thought, we should all do some reflection on 2008 and scrap some of those things. The first thing I thought of was our Christmas tradition...the kids all dig out their Hallmark ornaments and hang those first. Then they get out the family ornaments to finish. There is always a big argument about who puts the angel on top of the tree. I think for the next couple of years it will be Devon...she is the easiest to lift. When the boys get taller, they can take over again! So, before you clean up your Christmas or New Year's messes, take pictures of the details and scrap them this year! If you don't have a specific Christmas tradition, then pick another. If you go grocery shopping at the same place and same time every week, take some pics and document the tradition! If you have game night every Thursday...document it! And don't just take pics, Journal too! Who knows, that might end up being a page contest at an upcoming crop where you can win fabulous prizes!

Okay, I am done posting for today. See you all soon in the new year. Oh yeah, I also noticed that the 15 cent 4x6 special seems to be continuing through the end of the day today because nobody is at the store to change the prices back! So, you have the day today to get those pictures in!

Hey ladies...I have been up since 7:30 because even though my body was not awake, my brain was. I decided to do something productive...like sit in front of the computer and get some work done!

Each new year I vow to try to do something better. This year, my personal goals are the same, loose weight, exercise, drink water...blah blah blah...you don't need to hear all of this! SO, this year I want to make Schmitt Photo your store. I want to know what you want and I will do my best to make it happen. So for the month of January, I would love to have responses on what you would like to see. What classes, products, special events, etc. would you love to see happen in 2009? I can't do this without your help, so please give it some thought and send a note back to me. If your friends aren't bloggers, get them started so they can help out! To help get your scrapbooking off to a good start, here is the crop schedule for January...January 9th & 10th, January 16th & 17th, and January 30th and 31st. We have Christmas, baby boy, baby girl, family, friends, and I think the last one is travel. All you have to do is add photos and journaling. Each album has 20 finished pages complete with embellishments and they are only $20.00! ($18.00 with your preferred customer account!)

Well, the Christmas whirl wind for the Lejman family has come to an end and we are now just vegging at my parent's house. Well, obviously I'm not vegging right this minute, but I will be returning to my spot on the couch under my new warm blanket as soon as I finish this post.

My dad and I just sent out one of the most valuable emails EVER! But, in case you still don't get our emails, here is what it said. We are offering 15 cent 4x6 prints through the end of the day on December 31st. The sale begins immediately. However, if you place your order this evening, the pricing will still show 30 cents. We will make the adjustment for you when you pick up your order.

It's Friday and it's crop night. I'm looking forward to seeing everyone this evening! It has been crazy busy at the store this month, so sorry about the delay in posting. It is so cool to see the kinds of photo gifts people are giving this year. Lots of canvas prints, old slides and movies to DVD, photo blankets, and more. (Talk about tears on Christmas...)

You need to keep checking your emails for the next couple of days. My dad has been thinking out loud about some specials and if he goes through with them...you are gonna like em!

We have some cool scrapbooking gift items as well as cameras that will make great Christmas gifts. We have Nikon cameras as low as 139.95 and scrapbook kits for 24.99. This week's happenings!

Well, Christmas is almost here so that means just one thing...Valentine's products have started arriving! We have the American Craft new line for Valentines and both of My Mind's Eye's lines. Go to the Christmas section in the store...it has been condensed to fit the new Valentine's goods.

Also, for you camera folks, we have the FULL line of Nikon Coolpix cameras in. They start at just 139.95 for an 8mp with 3 times zoom. AND they come in cool colors. We also have the S60 touchscreen camera. Who's that good looking guy on TV with that camera? Ashton, I think is his name? Anyway, the camera is so cool! Not only can you write on your photos digitally, you can add frames, flowers, hearts, etc right on top of your photo...IN THE CAMERA! No special software required.

One more reminder...we do have a crop tomorrow night. It's not full by any means, so call and sign up today. If we get at least 12, I PROMISE TO GIVE AWAY A YEAR OF FREE CROPS! (And maybe a couple of other things, too!)

It's the weekend!

Hey everybody...it's Friday and boy am I ready for the weekend. We have a swim meet (of course) so even though I won't be at the store, I also won't be lounging around my house or getting any shopping done! Yes, I still have a ton to get done. I have only shopped for one child, no husband, parent, or in-law shopping has been done. YIKES!

Anyway, I hope everyone has a good weekend. If you haven't been in to check out our $5, $10 and $20 tables, tomorrow is your last chance. The stuff will all be going back to its regular price on Monday.

Also-if you didn't get the last email-the crops this month are next weekend, the 12th and then the following weekend on the 19th. The crop on the 19th will be a cookie swap crop. Bring a couple dozen of your faves and take home a couple dozen assorted cookies from everyone else. If you have the recipe, bring that too! That will be the end of classes and crops until January.

If you didn't get the email, then you also do not know that we just received 200 lbs of cardstock from Core-dinations. That's 160 colors! The Core-dinations paper is super cool because it has a different color core that shows through when you sand, tear, or crumple it. Come check it out!

Well, I got word from Santa that he will be too busy to join us. However, he is still sending his elf with lots of great Christmas goodies for everyone.

I have been working hard getting ready...The guys in my life are doing all the cooking, so the food will be awesome. I will be setting multiple alarms to assure that breakfast is ready and that I am there to let you in by six. (That means somebody better be there at 6:00 am to keep me awake!) Every hour on the hour you will receive a ticket for the giant prize at the end of the evening.

I would love to give you more details, but I promised Santa I wouldn't tell. See you all Friday morning!

Hey everybody! Thought I'd post a quick note before the weekend. I'm going to be at a swim meet in Louisville, so I won't be posting this weekend.

THE BLACK FRIDAY CROP IS FULL! It filled up in record time...I am so proud of everybody for signing up so quick! I am getting very excited. I spoke with Santa's elf and I heard a rumor that Santa might be able to make it by to us. It's a busy time of year, so we'll have to wait and see! Keep your eyes on your email next week. I can't believe it has been over 2 weeks since I've posted! I'm not really sure how that happened. Time flies when you are super busy I guess. The kids swim season is in full swing which means I am not only busy with practices and meets, I am also busy editing the pics from the meet that I shot. Hundreds of photos of swim caps and goggles...everyone is starting to look the same! That's actually why I am blogging right now. I needed to stop looking at swim pics for a bit.

I know lots of you are wondering about the Black Friday surprise crop. Well, here are the details. The crop will be 6 am to midnight. Well, the results are in and we sold just under $2400.00 worth of rummage sale goods this year! Congrats to all the sellers. Now you can come in and get loads of the cool new stuff! Here are the top 3 earners, cuz I know you want to know...Kimmay was #1, Rebecca was #2, and Debbie was #3. Way to go girls...how long do you think it will last? I know mine never lasts more than a week!

Is it really the end of October already?!

I can't believe it is getting so close to the end of the year! We took the kids down by river in Newburgh today because it is going to be the last warm day for awhile. We decided it was time to shoot our Christmas Card photos...because it is actually time to start thinking about that! In fact, you can see samples of all the new cards we got in this year! And...here comes the sales pitch...we've lowered our prices this year! You can get your cards as low as 50 cents a piece and that price includes your custom text AND envelopes. My card for this year is the red one with 4 pictures of my kiddos in downtown Newburgh.

SO-the rummage sale was a huge succes again. I won't have exact numbers until Tuesday or Wednesday, but I can safely say we sold at least $1500 worth of scrapbooking goodies for our sellers this year! Remember, it will be happening again in the spring and you could be one of those people racking up store credit for new stuff!

Speaking of new stuff...(good transition, eh!) Since the Making Memories arrived last week, we also got in the 2009 version of the very popular "just add photos calendar" from sei, more Christmas paper from Kaiser Crafts. Also from Kaiser...gems, pearls, beautiful die cut felt ADHESIVE BACKED borders, and card plus envelope packs to help get a head start on your Christmas cards. (For those of you who will not be doing photo cards, of course.)

Hey everybody...I know, it has been forever (10 days) since I posted last. Sorry! I don't even have a good excuse. I haven't been feeling fabulous, so I just go to bed at bedtime instead of stealing time on the computer.

ANYWAY-Here's what came in yesterday...8 boxes from Making Memories! We now have the full line of Paperie, Christmas Card kits, new Word Fetti stickers and journaling stickers, and AWESOME new 3 ring binder albums. They are embossed leather and they are super cool. I am planning on stocking up for me (so is Dawn, so you might want to hurry in before she and I buy them up!)

I have something special for all you loyal bloggers. From now until 6pm on Wednesday, come in and tell me at least 3 changes I made in the store and I will give you 25% off of your entire scrapbook purchase! (My dad's out of town and he doesn't know about the big order from MM. Just trying to ease the pain before he gets back!)

Camp Carson Croppers Rock!

This weekend was one of the best weekends ever! Whether we had been to Camp Carson for band camp, girl scout camp, or summer camp...being there this weekend brought back memories for all of us. Some of us just remembered other camp experiences that shaped us into the people we are today. I think most of us forgot how fun camp can be! Thank you to Devon (who got us off our booties) and to Thomas (the guy who took us to the fun) for reminding us that no matter how old we are...we can still be young at heart.

There were just 13 of us this weekend, but we had the fun of a hundred people! We canoed, we went down the "Black Hole" (pictures to the left), we had morning walks around the lake, we made s'mores, we had a hay-ride, we went down the zip-line, we had morning chapel, we played camp pranks on Kimmay's cows, we looked for Jason, we had snoring wars, and oh yeah...we scrapbooked a bit too. I hope everyone enjoyed it as much as I did. It was exactly the kind of weekend I needed. I wouldn't change a thing! Thanks to all of you...Karen, Jane, Kimmay, Tracey, Kristi, Teresa, Bev, Wilma, Laurie, Dawn, Laura, and Devon for giving me a weekend I will never forget!

Thanks to Camp Carson...Mark, Debra, Gerri, and Thomas for making sure that we had a great time, as well. Can't wait for the spring.

Inventory is Done! New stuff has arrived!

First of all, thanks for your support of our inventory clearance sale! It only took us 7 hours to count the whole store, paper included! I got to come home before the kids yesterday! However, the general rule is, if new stuff arrives the week of inventory, it stays in the box so it doesn't have to be counted! SO...here is what has arrived.

We have 3 boxes from sei, I know that those boxes contain some pretty cool Christmas goods. We also got 3 boxes yesterday from Scrapworks, you only get to know what's in those boxes if you are coming to the Camp Carson retreat because the stuff in those boxes is for goody bags. I have a couple of boxes from American Crafts...those have the fall dollar ribbon and some really cute 6x6 albums for just $3.00! Last but not least, the 2 boxes from Cosmo Cricket...one has their new Christmas line and the other...free stuff for goodie bags at Camp Carson! Tomorrow we should be getting 3 more boxes from Tinkering Ink...once again...largely for Camp Carson. Those boxes will also have some CD's with some of their paper lines that can be used for digital scrapbooking! Those will be on special for only $6.00 when they arrive.

So, hopefully I got you excited to come in the store. Just come a little later in the day so I have time to set everything up in the computer!

I hope I also got those of you going to Camp Carson excited about the weekend, and those of you who aren't...well maybe you wish you were now!

Our clearance sale has begun!

It's Friday night and we have a crew here scrapping. I've been hearing stories and goofy jokes while I bag up more goodie bags for great prices to sell on our "We don't want to count it sale".

We have been clearing out some inventory today, but there is still lots to sell! Perhaps some awesome discounts on paper...cuz I DO NOT like to count paper!

Friday means a lot of things...the end of the school week, the end of the work week, OR CROP NIGHT! After last weekend, I am ready to hang out with everyone again! I heard from one regular cropper whose name starts with K that she spent "way too much time with her husband last weekend!" We all love our families, but we all need "me" time. I am finally starting to figure that one out myself!

Anyway, just wanted to put up a quick post to let everyone know that I am very excited to see you this evening. Make sure to call if you are coming. (You might even want to call if you already told me you were coming. I have a habit of forgetting to write people down!)

It's Saturday and I'm lonely!

Hey girls! Now I know why I love having crops on Saturdays! We have stayed fairly busy, but I miss the buzz of your conversation and paper trimmers in the background. Anyway, I put out some new stuff that didn't make it in to the last email. We got the new Eerie Alley from sei (yes, MORE HALLOWEEN!) We also got in the Kelly Panacci line called you and me. It's very cool...Venus vs. Mars girl guy stuff. You just have to see it. Descriptions don't do it justice. And, for all you moms of 3-12 year old girls, we got in MORE High School Musical stickers, Hannah Montannah stickers and PAPER TO MATCH! Woo-Hoo Sandylion!

It was good to see lots of you today. I was sad to here that some of my friends chose pie over Schmitt Photo. I guess once you win all the prizes, you get too good to stop in and say "hi" on a lonely Saturday. Oh well, I only cried for a minute!

HUGE ORDER HAS ARRIVED!

Well, if you went to the CJs Bus Crop, then you saw all the new stuff. We got in 11 Boxes of Brand new stuff from My Mind's Eye. We got the complete Laundry Line, the complete Just Dreamy 2 line, both Halloween Lines and both of their Christmas lines. That means that we now have 76 new designs of paper with embellishments, die cuts, clear stamps, inks, frames and more now in the store! Thanks so much to my "moving crew" after the crop. We tore down my booth and re-set the store in record time! (1 hour, 45 minutes to be exact!) I have said it before and I will say it again, Schmitt Photo has ROCKIN' CUSTOMERS!

Congratulations to Joy Egan on her first crop for CJs Bus. From where I sat it looked like everyone was having a great time! Lot's of big prizes were given away. I won't even mention the biggest prize winners because I had tickets in for those! (I know, poor baby.) Let's just say, someone with the initials DK better not complain about not winning big stuff for a very long time!

Getting Buried Under Piles of New Stuff!

I KNOW...it has been forever since I posted last. I am so very sorry BUT...(here comes the sob story) Joy is gone hanging with Jeremiah, Mike and Kathy (2 of our 3 lab staff) went on a much needed vacation and Levi (our 3rd lab staffer) broke his ankle the night M&K left for vacation! There is one other person in the store that can sort of run the lab and that person is ME! So, I fumbled through helping in the lab last week instead of spending time on Scrappin Stuff. Add that to the kids going back to school, new boxes arriving every day and LIFE IN GENERAL and I just haven't had much extra time on my hands. -- I know, the world's smallest violin is playing, Yada yada yada.

Anyway, we have literally had boxes arrive every day this week. On Monday we got the Little Yellow Bicycle Frightful line, On Tuesday we got half of our Cosmo Cricket Mr. Campy and Jack's world shipment, on Wednesday we got the Making Memories Fa la la line, on Thursday (today) we got the rest of our Cosmo Cricket line, paramedic, zoo, police and fireman stuff from Creative Imagination (not even out of the box yet!) and assorted soccer papers and embelllishments from multiple companies (also not out of the box!)

I hope to go in tomorrow around noonish and find that nothing else has arrived and be able to put all of the stuff out before everyone gets to the crop! Make sure to sign up if you haven't. We have about 8-10 spots left and we will be having another of our famous (infamous?) M&M auctions and exclusive crop night sales. Kristi T. will also be using her final free crop as the first ever winner of a year of free crops. SO DAWN...maybe it will be your turn to win? :)

No Pictures yet, but still lots of new stuff!

Okay, so new stuff has been slowly rolling in the last week and I wanted to let you know what's in. We have 4 "mini" lines from Scenic Route...Appleton (great back to school stuff), Salem (for Halloween, of course), Liberty (for your patriotic pages), and Surprise (for SURPRISE...birthday pages!) Each line has 6-8 papers, really cool die cut arrows and labels, sticker sheeets, chipboard, & full kits (with bonus extras not available outside the kit). Some of the lines even have buttons and mini clear stamps to coordinate!

Our Sandylion baby line expanded this week (much like a pregnant belly!). We got albums in both boy and girl, new puffy stickers (the animal stickers are A-DOR-A-BLE!), clear stamps, and more stickers and rub-ons. You have to come check these out. I love them because they can be baby or toddler goodies.

We also got in 13 new papers and lots of new stickers and embellishments in the Kelly Panacci line from Sandylion. The 360 Line is my favorite because...you guessed it...it's all circles! I love circles!

Today we received some bits and pieces that are some of your favorites that we have been out of for awhile. We got two complete new assortments of cats eye ink pads. One is the Chalk Ink and the other Pigment Ink. Each collection has 24 colors! We also got in about 10 new & re-stocked colors of Stickles. I did see a new color of pink that I need to grab up before all of you get to them!

We have also re-stocked all of our Anthologie pages and albums from Scrapworks. If you love this album system, come get them while we've got them. Sadly, Scrapworks is discontinuing the line and I won't be able to get much else in for awhile. They say some "big names" are looking at them but they can't say until the deal is done. Keep your fingers crossed...I sold all of my books at the last yard sale so that I could switch everything to these albums!

New Stuff...again!

Well, I told you that the Making Memories would be in tomorrow but I wasn't expecting Sandylion to be here today! The products are part of their new Rouge de Garance line. When you look at the photos, they are the gorgeous deep brown papers and lace cut cardstocks that coordinate! Oh yeah, there are some chipboard pieces, fabric brads, clear stamps, rub ons and even an album to match!

I also realized that I forgot to mention the 75 new colors of cardstock from American Crafts and the 54 new ribbon styles! (Yes, those are pictured to the left as well!) I hope you will all come check out the new goodies soon! (My dad will get nervous otherwise! :)

We just got in 7 boxes from American Crafts and they were full of really fun stuff! A whole new wall of Thickers (cool tinsel, puffy letters, new chipboard) The Everyday line of paper, 15 new Christmas papers and embellishments, and 54 new ribbons by the yard! It got unpacked by the super ladies that cropped with me Thursday night...so if you want to see it, you better hurry in. They have already started coveting most of it! (Now you see the perks to hanging out at the store...A LOT!) You get to see new stuff while the store is closed! :)

I am expecting the new Halloween line from Making Memories to arrive on Tuesday, so that should be up on Wednesday. If anything else comes in, I'll be sure to let you know!

PAGE OF THE WEEK UPDATE: We almost made our goal of 12 in order to do a drawing for a $10.00 gift certificate. We have gotten as many as 10...so grab a friend tomorrow and drag them in to make a super cool page and be entered in a drawing!

Well girls, the first few boxes have arrived from CHA! I had VBS responsibilities last night so I didn't get to start on everything until 9:00 last night. Of course, when new stuff arrives I spend A LOT of time moving stuff around...meaning I stay up very late.

But, I know you don't care how late I stayed up...you want to know what came in. Well, we got a bunch of new bags from Mackinaw Moon...the Poppy line from sei (it's beautiful!)...the Yuletide line from Tinkering Ink(Classic Christmas)...More Peek a Boo albums from Tinkering Ink...re-stock on lots of our favorite tools from Tonic and some new tools that are bound to become favorites. We got in a new circle cutting system and a new lines cutting system (different wavy and curvy lines). This is just the tip of the iceberg! New stuff will continue to arrive over the next few months as the companies release their new products. You know what that means...keep checking my blog or HECK, just come by the store!

We are cropping tonight because the mid-week crops start this evening. Mid-week crops are 5-11 and totally free! They are free because they are no frills and they are no frills because I am going to scrapbook too! If you are coming, you may want to call the store today to remind us. If you want to come, there is still room!

I'm signing off. Jordan and I are doing his back to school shopping today. The day will start with breakfast and then the 11:15 showing of Wal-E. Then we will shop. Gotta get Jordan buttered up with the fun stuff before I can get him to shop!

Jeremiah and family are home!

I finally got to talk to Joy tonight. She is home with the baby. They are doing well. Jeremiah is a bit jaundiced so they have the bili lights at home. Everyone is happy...and a bit sleepy! I hope to get to meet him tomorrow evening.

Another quick note...the page of the week is posted to the left. Not a great rendition, but I am at home and do not have the super duper ultra resolution scanner here that we have at work for scanning pages. I know what you are thinking..."If you had the page done sooner, you wouldn't have to improvise at home!" I know that because I am saying the same thing to myself!!! I promise to do better. I am adjusting to life a little short-handed at work and figuring out how to get all of these page kits done. Finishing this one tonight has given me a bit of the creative boost I needed. Now I will be rubbing my hands together trying to figure out what great products I want to use next!

As you can see, it's very late...we just had to finish listening to Harry Potter on CD before bed. (Devon goes to camp tomorrow and I am selfish! I didn't want to have to wait a week to finish!) Anyway, it's way past my bedtime, so I will be signing off. I will give updated reports on Joy's family as I know more. :)

Baby Jeremiah is here!

Jeremy (Joy's husband) called last night to tell me that Jeremiah had been born around 7:00pm. He is 6lbs 13oz and 20.5 inches. He is doing well but in the NICU because he had a collapsed lung and some fluid. I saw Joy this evening and he is still in NICU because of low blood sugar, but they are expecting him to be able to come out in the morning. Joy looked great and as soon as I get to see Jeremiah, I'll post a pic of both of them. (As long as Joy says it's okay!)

Joy called today to say that she is going in the hospital tomorrow evening and they will induce her sometime Wednesday morning! I will be at Holiday World with Devon, but will be checking my voicemail often! We may be driving straight to the hospital from HW to meet him!

On another note, the crop last Friday was a HUGE success. I think all 30 participants had a very good time! We played some bingo and had an auction for new goods. One set of stamps went for $30,000! Confused...come this weekend because we are going to do it all over again! Here's a hint...M&Ms aren't just for bingo anymore.

Call soon if you want to come to the crop. I had so many goodies from the show that I still have tons left over. So if you missed the preview crop last week, come see me this weekend. If you loved the preview crop last weekend, come see me again!

We're Back!

Devon and I got home from Chicago at about 7:15pm and turned right back around so that she could go to her swim team party tonight. (Hence the reason for the late post.)

Here's the scoop from the show...we saw lots of cool new stuff, we met some cool people, and we brought home a bunch of samples to show those of you who are coming tomorrow night! I took lots of pics of Devon (she's cuter) with some of the great vendors we met (and some that I already ordered from!) Shh...don't tell my dad.

The pics in the slide show are just a teeny handful of the vendors that presented to us over the last few days. You will see the girls from Scenic Route (sitting by the table, Brooke from American Crafts with some of their cool new product, the girls from Luxe Designs (potential new vendor), the cutest couple ever is the husband and wife team that own Tinkering Ink (recognize the shirt?), KC from My Mind's Eye (he's the one holding the doll!), and the two Michelle's from Arkansas (standing with Devon). You might also notice the pic of Devon running on the escalator. During each break we went to the escalator so that Devon could run UP the DOWN side. We even got out the stopwatch on the cell phone to see if she could "cut time" on each run. She had a bit of pent up energy from sitting during the meetings all day!

The tow Michelle's flew in from Arkansas for the show. Throughout the two days, they kept handing over the free stuff that they didn't want to pack back on the plane! When Michelle said, "do you want these?" I immediately thought..."awesome, more stuff to give away at the crop!" And then to top it all off, the OTHER Michelle had a great idea for a game for us for tomorrow night! I can't wait.

If you haven't signed up yet, call early tomorrow. We were down to just a few open spots when I spoke with my dad this afternoon.

Hey ladies...Devon and I are out of here later this afternoon, headed for Chicago! I have to say that I am really looking forward to checking out the new stuff! I have had a few teaser emails that are really perking my interest! I hope that you will come to the crop on the 18th and help me decide what we need to put in the store. (And help keep me awake.) :) Between spending the weekend at a swim meet-no sleep-and 8am-10pm meetings-no sleep-I may need an occasional pinch during the crop to keep me going!

I won't be posting again for a couple of days. I will take my camera so that I can put some pics up as soon as I get home on Thursday...that way you will have some idea of what prizes you might win at the crop! :)

I wanted to post this separately because I didn't want it to get lost in my ramblings about all my travels! :) We have received some cool stuff this week and I wanted to fill you in before I leave.

We have the acrylic albums and vinyl rubs from Scrapworks. We also have some great chipboard letter stickers in from Scrapworks.

From Making Memories, 5 new travel papers, some double sided, some die cut

I got a new assortment of organizational systems...ribbon bags, tote bags and rolling bags!

From Sandylion we received 30 new Disney papers, 6 new sticker designs and re-stock on Hannah Montannah and HSM stickers (just cuz we are sick of it, doesn't mean the kiddos are!)

I also got in a huge assortment of albums that just barely got checked in last night before I had to leave. They are from AMM, MBI, Pioneer, Colorbok, American Crafts, Making Memories, and EK Disney. The picture that looks just like clutter...well that's what it looks like when you check in 3 boxes of albums in just under 30 minutes! They should be up on the shelves before Scrap Camp starts today!

BUSY WEEK AHEAD!

Hey girls, I thought I'd better post today because the next week and a half will be a whirlwind of driving for me. Today I leave for a swim meet in Indy with all three children. We get to visit with their godmother which is the whole reason we even go to Indy for meets. We will return home on Sunday eve, I will empty the suitcases, throw clothes (and lots of towels!) in the wash and then start packing for my trade show meeting in Chicago. I will leave again around noon on Monday for more driving, this time only Devon is coming.

I am not attending the whole show, but am going to a two day meeting where many of our faves come directly to us to show us what they have. It is about 20 hours of sitting and having scrapbook stuff thrown at us. A bit butt-numbing, but who doesn't like having scrapbook stuff thrown at them all day? (Well, my oldest son I guess...that's why Devon is coming with me this year!)

We will begin our drive home on Thursday afternoon. Thursday evening when I return home, I will begin sorting all the catalogs and FREE STUFF that I get from the vendors so that I can give a preview at the crop on Friday, the 18th. Yes, that crop will be our CHA preview crop. I would love to have you fabulous ladies there to give me some opinions and advice on what you like or don't like. Obviously, we want to order the stuff you want to buy! So, if you haven't signed up you should do so.

I am very, very, very sorry that it has been so long since my last post! I swear, I even tried to post earlier in the week, but the site wasn't cooperating.

I hope everyone had a fabulous holiday! I dragged the kids to the Newburgh Fireworks (only one was very reluctant) and I took approximately 300 photos in 10 minutes! Gotta love that continuous shooting on the Nikon D-SLR cameras! I only ended up with about 30 that I want to print, but that's not bad considering I wasn't even looking through the camera! I was just aiming in the general direction and hoping for the best. Oh, by the way, the reluctant one can't wait to go back next year! :)

I sent out the July schedule earlier in the week. I hope everyone got a copy. If not we have them in the store and I hope to get it online sometime Monday. We are doing more crops again this month. One of them is from noon to midnight tomorrow (Saturday) and I am certain that we still have plenty of space left. In fact, if you are supposed to be signed up, you may want to call or post me a message because I only have a handful on my list so far.

I'm gonna run because as you can see it is going on 1 am. I will be posting the Monday page before the day is up tomorrow. I can't do it from home...no scanner here!

It has been a whole week since I posted anything! SORRY...but boy have I been busy scrapping! We cropped Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. I got a good start on an alumni project that I am working on for Camp Carson...very overwhelming but also very interesting to look at the history of the camp.

On Saturday I went to the SISF crop where I get to play games and buy raffle tickets. I bought one raffle ticket this time even though the prize was a gift certificate to our store. I do still have to pay for stuff, and Alumni projects cost a lot of money! Well, you can see by looking at the pics to the left that I won AND that Dawn was not too happy with me. (She's just mad because she still hasn't managed to win a year of free crops!) :)

Our crop on Friday did have another winner of Free crops...Congrats to Stephanie! She was a newbie, and now she gets to come for free for a YEAR! WOO HOO! I hope everybody had fun playing lets make a deal for cool scrapbook prizes...and a few boobie prizes as well. I hope to have our July schedule figured out soon. We have lots going on with Joy getting ready to have a baby and the trade show all in the same month! If anybody has any favorite days for cropping, I'd love to hear them. We can do more mid-week crops or more sleepy Sunday crops or even long Saturday crops. I'm open to suggestions for July! Remember, it's our last full month before the kids start getting ready to go back to school!

Coming this Week

We have a bunch of cropping and even a class this week! The class is tomorrow at 6:00 pm and it is Elizabeth's famous Double your Fun. In this fast paced class, you will finish 4 double page layouts in just about an hour. How many of you can say that after a crop?! The best part is, you will have 4 double page layouts ready to add photos to when you come crop with us later in the week. We have FREE cropping on Wednesday and Thursday (I'm scrapping too!). Then we have our fabulous crop til you drop on Friday night and continuing into Saturday. Oh, and don't forget about Technique Thursday. I will be showing that layout on my spot on Fox 7 at approximately 6:53 am on Thursday.

If you want to come to E's class tomorrow night, there is plenty of room. You just need to make sure and call so we can let Elizabeth know you are coming!

I almost forgot...congrats to all of the winners of the scavenger hunt prizes from last weekend. Rebecca W. won the $100 gift certificate, Teresa won the Year of Free Crops, Tracey won the glaze pens, Gloria got our paper pack from My Minds Eye, and Kristi won the Peek a Boo album from Tinkering Ink! Crop tonight!

So, I made it back with my oldest...he looked a bit like a whipped dog! I guess swimming four hours a day took a bit out of him this week. The good news, Devon and Jordan barely made a sound on the way there. The bad news...turns out if all 3 of them are in the car they fight like cats and dogs! (or brothers and sister!) I had half a mind to turn back and see if they had any openings for next week!

Anyway, today we were going to hang as a family in the pool. And then I woke to thunder...WOO HOO (NOT!) which means we now have to be in the house together all day. So far, no fighting.

And now the main reason for this post: Tonight is our Crop til you Drop night and we still have about 10 spots available. If you want to come hang out, play games, eat snacks, and oh yeah...scrapbook!...then give the store a call and sign up. I'll be there tonight! The cost is $10 for Friday night and you are welcome to leave all your stuff and return on Saturday to crop all day for free! I think I might even give away a year of free crops this evening...just not sure what game we will play to do that. You could join the ranks of Kristi, Kim, Tracey, Rebecca, and Joy...other ladies who have already won a year of free crops!

Okay, I tried to post my pages, but I kept cutting part of them off. I would keep working on it, but I have to leave to retrieve my eldest from swim camp soon and I still have to get home to get his little brother and sister. (They can't wait to see him...ya right!) :)

When I posted last week about new product, I totally forgot to mention the new Peek a Boo albums from Tinkering Ink. They are sooo cool. The new pics are of the book that I just finished. We have 6 (or 7) different layout styles available. The product that I used on my book included the Perfectly Posh line from Tinkering Ink, bits and pieces of the 5th Avenue line from Making Memories (tags, buttons, flowers), Dabbers, glaze pens from Sakura (also new in the store), and rub ons from the Cogsmo and Get Happy lines from Cosmo Cricket. It was so fun to put together! I love being able to use tons of embellishments all willy nilly!

Thanks to everyone who stopped by our booth at Crop 4 Life. It was another successful off-site event for us as well as Crop 4 Life! Gotta run for now. I'm up and the rest of the family is in bed. Gonna try to squeeze in breakfast, a bit of TV and a shower while it's still quiet!

She took 139 pics, so if it takes a few minutes to load them all, be patient! You can order pics from this area as well. It's a bit different from the printwizard you use in the store. When you see a photo you want, go to "print" at the bottom and it will list your available sizes and prices. Dawn and Pam...don't forget to order your free 5x7's of the event to fill your album! (They won a contest, for those of you who couldn't go!)

Hey everybody! I don't have much time to post because I need to start packing for the Crop for Life on Saturday. I did want to give you a quick run down on the new stuff that has arrived. We got in the super cool glaze pens from Sakura...I haven't gotten to use them yet but Dawn said I had to get them! They add a dimensional effect to your journaling or even add a little pop to the patterns on your papers. We have A TON of Tinkering Ink. If you haven't seen it, you must come check it out. They have bright colors with funky patterns...we have four of the collections. We also got in scrapbooking t-shirts for the hubby...it says neglected...a woman is at her scrapbook desk and the hubby is standing next to her with an empty plate. Tee-hee :)

Other new products include the Organic paper line and coordinating stickers from Bo-Bunny (we used some of this in one of our NSD classes). We have an extended supply now of the 5th Ave line from Making Memories in both Sophia and Elizabeth (also used during NSD).

We are re-stocked on many colors of Dabbers and Glimmer Mist. We are re-stocked on the Ancestry.com line from K&Company and we got the very cool NEW Amy Butler bag. This one is in very pretty greens and blues. Do you like the 4x4 cubes we used for Christmas and Valentine's classes? We have those back in too!

Gotta run...I'm going to start packing for the crop. I won't take everything with me, so make sure you come in and see my dad and Joy on Saturday if you won't be at the Armory!

We had a great Saturday today! I guess people decided to take their chances and wait until today to get 75% off the clearance items! We also had 26 total people cropping with us this weekend. I love it when we have a big crowd like that...all the chatting and creativity is contagious. Congrats to Nancy B and Katherine W for finding the hidden $10.00 gift certificates this weekend. Congrats to everyone else who won at BINGO. If you haven't been to a crop lately, you are missing out! We give away prizes, you get to choose what's on sale, you find hidden prizes, we eat junk food...what better way is there to spend your weekend?!

As promised, the Garden Party did arrive on Friday, along with lots of double page layouts using the Confetti line from My Minds Eye. They are fabulous and they come with DIRECTIONS and a COLOR PHOTO of the finished product! One of the fabulous kits that arrived is the one we are using to raise funds at the Crop 4 Life this weekend. We will only have 15 spots available that day, so sign up when you get there! All the proceeds will go to the Pregnancy Resource Center because MME was fabulous enough to donate the product! Yay My Mind's Eye!

It's late and I want to scrap a bit, so I'm signing off. I'm headed to my newly organized and newly set-up cropping area with Christian's I-pod for entertainment. There is a bit too much Chipmunks and Sponge bob for my taste...I just skip ahead to all the Disney channel music! (12 year old boys...who can figure them out?)

Our Page Kit Sample Book is Full!

I have been working HARD on kits the last couple of weeks and the crate and the display album are now full! Check out the slide show to the left to see the new kits. Some of them are even double page layouts. (Pushing me out of my box a bit, but I managed!)

We did have some new goodies arrive today. We now have 12 new styles of the glitter Thickers from American Crafts. If you haven't ever used a Thicker, it's time to start. They make fabulous titles and they come in lots and lots of colors!

I checked with Fed Ex and my Garden Party from MME is definitely arriving TOMORROW! If you are coming to the crop, you'll have first dibs on it. I also have an order in with Tinkering Ink due to arrive next Wednesday or Thursday. If you are coming to Crop 4 Life, you'll be one of the first to see that collection!

On the home front, Devon and I cleaned the scrap area and it is so Awesome! I cropped last night to make even more kits (not pictured cuz they aren't bagged yet!) and I could get to everything I needed just by reaching behind me. Oh joy, what a productive way to scrap!

So, I had a couple of days off because of the holiday and had grand plans of making my yard beautiful. Sunday, I spent the day pruning, raking, mowing, etc. I was saving the planting (my favorite part) for Memorial Day. Some of you might remember that it was STORMING on Memorial Day! Well, my wonderful husband says, why don't we start moving around furniture like we talked about. Wait a minute...we had only been talking about it for a few days. We hadn't met our mandatory discussion period of MONTHS before actually making progress.

I was a little put out because I figured that if it was storming, I would just scrapbook instead. Anyway, I did my best to motivate my slightly hormonal self to start moving furniture. Many hours later, our family room is now in the living room, one of the chairs (the comfy fall asleep one) is in my bedroom, and my scrapbook stuff is now in the family room. And guess what...I LOVE IT! I posted an in progress photo for you to check out. We still need to organize (obviously) and we are going to hang shelves. My husband (kitchen design guy from Lowes) is designing me a floating island to work on. The first draft was $950 (YIKES!)so, it's back to the drawing board for now! :)

HELLO SUNSHINE!

No, I'm not being fresh! We just got in the latest line from Cosmo Cricket called "Hello Sunshine". It is sooo awesome. I cannot wait to use it. It's bright and cool and super funky. I might have to buy pool toys to match the paper so that I can make some very fun summer swimming pages.

We also have a few new page kits ready...not part of the slide show yet. I'm still trying to get a grasp of that technology. (Okay, I'm actually just waiting for Danny to be available so that he can add new pages for me!)

I did just send an email about the Crop for Life. Last time I talked with the coordinator, they were starting to really fill up. She said that they could still take quite a few more, though. OF COURSE, we will be there again this year sponsoring the raffle, selling our cool goodies, and teaching a class to donate the proceeds to the Life Center. For this event our sponsor is going to be My Mind's Eye. We are doing a cool double page spread from the Confetti line. If you haven't signed up, the registration fee is only $25.00. That includes lunch, dinner, goodie bag, and snacks all day. SIGN UP, SIGN UP, SIGN UP! I want you to come hang out with me that day!

I wasn't sure I would get the new kits ready and bagged this weekend, but with 3 semi hard working helpers (my children) we managed to get them done! How do you like the slide show of the new kits? Danny helped me figure that out.

It's 4:30 in the afternoon and I just had my kiddos drag the table in from the garage so that I can work on even more kits! (Scrappin' in my lap is a bit tricky and I get sleepy on the couch!) :) Hopefully I will have a few more ready by the time you all come in to do the Monday page of the Week tomorrow. The page with Jordan all dressed up...Compromise is the name of it...is the page for tomorrow. It is part of the slide show.

Sleep schedule back on track!

Well, it's 6:45 on Saturday morning and I'm wide awake. I guess my internal alarm clock is back on track. I just wish it would shut itself off on Saturday mornings! :)

Quick family update--Devon went back to school yesterday only to call at 11:00 with her stomach hurting again. When we put her to bed last night, her fever was back up to 102. Blast this bug that FLEW around Chandler! The hardest thing for a mommy is to see her baby girl feeling so poopy. I'm just hoping the weekend will give her time to recover for the last few days of school. She already missed a party/field trip to the park for making her reading goal all year.

Here's what is going down in the store. I have designed 4 new page kits so far. I have materials pulled for at least 5 more. I would love it if some of you would stop by and pull something you would like to see me use in a kit. I love your suggestions and ideas.

We have also received a bit of new merchandise over the last couple of weeks. We have a great tropical/vacation line from Sandylion with double sided paper, stickers, rub-ons, and alphabets. Great for your summer vacations. We also have some super cute little foam letters in fun bright colors for summer. Unfortunately, I am home in the afternoon and have time to post. Devon was one of the casualties of the huge sickness that went around Chandler Elementary yesterday. More than 100 kids were out of school yesterday because of some pukey sickness. It made the news and everything! Anyway, I'm home this afternoon being mom, trying to do whatever work I can do from home. That usually involves very much time being spent in front of the computer!

Just wanted to send everybody a quick note to say hey, and I hope you will come out and see my dad and I this weekend. Keep checking your email for specials to come in the next day or two! (I'll make sure you want to come see us on Saturday.)

NSD A Huge Success!

Hey everybody! It's very early Tuesday morning and I was checking my emails. Thought I might as well post a quick note while I was at the computer.

NSD really messed up my sleep schedule! I slept until 3:00 pm on Sunday...bless my husband and children for being so quiet and letting me sleep! However, now it is 4:57am and I am wide awake. Figured I might as well get up and do something so that maybe I can fall asleep on time tonight!

We had great fun at our crop this weekend. Lots of prize winners, lots of pages completed, and of course, lots of laughs! I will post pics as soon as I get them from my official photographer, Kimmay. I haven't been back to work yet. Still recouping. I am taking a couple of much needed personal days to my stuff. I'll be back in the store Wednesday. Hopefully I will have some pics then that I can post to show what fun we had. Am I making those of you who didn't come jealous? I hope so...I want you to join us next year!

Gonna sign off for now. It's officially after 5:00 am and the infomercials should all be over. Maybe I can find something good to watch while I work on my Technique Thursday page!

NSD Crop is a big hit so far!

Well, I don't know about everyone else, but I am having a blast so far! But then, I love to give away prizes and hang out with my cropping buddies! I can't ever quit my job because then who would I hang out with on Friday nights?

If tonight is any indicator of our NSD events, we will definitely be doing it again next year. And we will do it even bigger and with more dates available!

I'll put some pics up soon. We have some doozies already! Stop by and see us tomorrow if you think you can handle the jealousy. ;)

Okay, it's @#% am and I'm writing anyway because I am so excited about NSD! (I'm not telling the time and I know full well the blog never has the correct time. Must be on Pacific time or something!) Anyway, I finished re-setting the store. Just want to keep you on your toes this weekend! That is one BIG thing I can mark off my list. Just about 100 little things left! I am taking Monday off to rest so that I can go full force the rest of the week to get everything ready. I certainly hope everyone is as excited as I am! I'll see you soon!

Oh, by the way, Joy and I decided that we didn't feel like walking around the store peeling off all those bright green/yellow stickers. Instead, we are now discounting everything with the stickers on it 50%! You will receive an email with this info later on Monday. If you go by the store to get some of the stickered items, make sure you tell Joy that I posted the 50% off in my blog already!

Lots of you have been in lately and I have noticed you peering over the edge of the goodie bags trying to catch a glimpse of what's inside! I think you have been impressed with what you saw before your little hands got smacked for peeking early!! :) The class stuff has arrived, new prize stuff is coming in every day and I have some super cool games planned for the weekend. Joy and I have a few more things to get ready, I need to re-arrange the store...cuz you all LOVE it when I do that, and then I'm going shopping for my coconut bra! (Actually, just a LOUD floral print shirt that screams ALOHA...because nobody wants to see my white belly in a coconut bra, tee hee.)

Can't wait to see everyone on Friday...and did I mention, only 6 spots left. We actually had A MAN sign up his wife for Mother's Day! What a sweetie.
